Anti-Bullying Ambassadors from Mount Sackville Visit the Mansion House

On the 26th of April 2017, four anti-bullying ambassadors, Evana Cassidy, Sohini Sengupta, Kai Donohoe and Lucy O'Reilly, along with teachers Ms.Delaney and Ms.Meade accompanied Alex Holmes from the Princess Diana Awards Team to the Mansion House to meet with The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Mr Brendan Carr.

In the course of this meeting the girls informed the Lord Mayor on the work they do, to combat and prevent bullying in Mount Sackville's school community.

The Lord Mayor was very impressed to learn that such good work goes on in Mount Sackville to make our school a happy and safe learning and working environment.

In fact he was so impressed that Mount Sackville’s Anti-Bullying Ambassadors have been invited to showcase their work to other schools and organisations in the Mansion House on Monday 22nd of May.

The ambassadors held a raffle on Thursday 27th of April, in aid of funding activities to continue to make our school a happy and safe learning environment. All the girls had sourced the prizes themselves and came together to make the day a great success. The overall total raised was €592, which all the girls should be extremely proud of. The Ambassador team would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ms.Delaney and Ms.Meade and the staff of the Anti-Bullying Committee for their  sheer dedication towards the programme, whom without none of this would be possible. We'd also like to thank Ms.Higgins and Ms.Hickey for their unending support for all the work that the Ambassador team carry out and finally we'd like to thank the teachers, parents and especially students who generously supported this fundraising event.
