U16 Leinster Camogie Final Winners

Congratulations to our U16 Camogie Team who won their final in style against Scoil Mhuire Clane.

Our girls had a tough semi-final last Tuesday vs Scoil Dara Kilcock and came out the winners after a hard fought first half, and then dominated in the second half. This tough semi helped the girls to prepare for the final.
Well done girls, you did the school and yourselves proud.

Tough luck to our first ever Senior team. The girls got to the semi-finals. We had to play Scoil Dara Kilcock and only lost to them by two scores.
U14's: Both GAA and Camogie U14's are starting shortly. League fixtures will be out this week. Our girls are looking forward to getting started.  20170127_103110640x360_1485864315.jpg

Senior Camogie Team

For the first time in our school history we have a school Senior Camogie Team.
We played our first league match against Scoil Dara Kilcock today, 11th October 2016.  We lost but we put in a great effort especially in the second half.
Well done to all the girls who participated. Very proud of you all.

Camogie U14's April 2016

Our U14's have won all their matches to date. With great wins over Loreto Crumlin, Coláiste Íosagáin and Scoil Mhuire Clane. We are playing Our Lady's Terenure on the 12th April and have Adamstown CC still to play. The standard of our girls is improving immensely the more they play as a team. Congratulations so far girls. Keep it up.

U-16 Camogie Final Winners

What a great finals match we had on Friday 29th January. The girls played fantastically, with such great heart and determination. We were definitely worthy winners on the day.

The supporters were just amazing and they kept our girls' spirits up on the pitch by all their chanting and positivity from the sidelines.

U-16 Camogie girls are through to the final after they beat Loreto Beaufort on a scoreline of 6-7 to 1-0

The girls brought their A game to St Brigid's GAA club where they faced Loreto for the second time, this time in the semi-final.

Scores were slow to come for both teams, as it was Mount Sackville in the lead by two points to no score after ten minutes. However, a goal soon after that brought the momentum that the Cluny girls needed to win the game. A long ball into the square, by captain Rachel Moran, went straight to Amy Quinn who followed through with the goal at ease. Mount Sackville kept the scoreboard ticking over and at half-time they lead by 2-5 to 0-0.

Loreto came out stronger at the start of the second half. Sackville were slower to start and were punished with a goal in the first five minutes. This was Loreto’s only score of the game however, as the girls pushed on to win the game. Aine Cooke scored a third goal after Anna Branagan’s shot was blocked down.  Anna scored two great points from 45’s after this. In addition to the other scores from play, they comfortably finished with a 6-7 to 1-0 win.

The final takes place next Friday, 29th January 2016, and we wish them the best of luck.
