The Student Enterprise Programme, run by the 31 Local Enterprise Offices across Ireland, is the country’s largest student entrepreneurship initiative. Each year, it empowers over 26,000 students to create, develop, and market their own businesses.
This year, Mount Sackville was thrilled to bring five teams of aspiring entrepreneurs to the Fingal Student Enterprise Awards. With over 1,300 participants from 21 schools, the competition was fierce. It was also our first time entering students in the junior and intermediate categories, and we were truly impressed by their enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit.
Mount Sackville students achieved remarkable success, taking home three awards:
the Social Media Award for Emma McMahon and Róise Mulligan from Gloss and Glow

the Sustainability Award for Éabha Moore from Coral Cove

and the Overall Senior Category Winner titlefor Sarah Forbes, Emily O’Donnell and Aaliyah Heeze from Wild Cards.

This marks our second year winning the coveted Overall Senior Category prize, and we were delighted with this achievement. Wild Cards will now represent Fingal at the National Awards on May 8th in Mullingar and will also embark on an exciting two-day intensive educational trip to Barcelona. We wish them the very best of luck at the National Final and of course with their thriving handmade card business which is going from strength to strength.
