Two Thursdays in May hold special memories for parents and students in 2022.
On Thursday May 12th the Parents Association were delighted to participate in the schools Cluny Sports Day celebrations. This year Mount Sackville’s annual games resumed after two years of absence and the smiling faces of the students was evident throughout the day. Parents provided barbeque food and enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere with the sporting participants. We thank the School Food Company, along with Ben and his team of helpers for organising the barbeque equipment for this event.

Then on Thursday May 19th the graduating class of 2022 were able to mark the end of six years at Mount Sackville with their families sitting beside them for their final school roll call. The classes of Markievicz, O’Farrell, Lynn, McLoughlin, and Skinnider, named after five extraordinary women involved in the Easter Rising, began their Mount Sackville journey in September 2016. This year the students and parents were thankful for the re-establishment of the traditional Mount Sackville graduation ceremony on the school premises, and were fortunate to have a magnificent day of bright sunshine that permeated warmth and jubilant celebration throughout the days’ proceedings.
The Parents Association are particularly grateful to all the staff of Mount Sackville for their continued support and care during the past academic year, and we wish all the pupils success in the forthcoming exams, and in particular the Junior and Leaving Certificate students.
