Last Saturday morning we welcomed primary school pupils and their parents and guardians at Mount Sackville Secondary School Open Day. Over 500 visitors came on the day. They were first greeted by our wonderful team of 6th year Prefects lead by Dr Walsh, Ms O'Donovan and Ms Begley.

Mrs Cuddihy-Higgins addressed everyone gathered and shared what it means to be a Mount Sackville student. At Mount Sackville, we firmly believe in providing our students with a well-rounded education: academic excellence and extra curricular achievements all deeply rooted in strong Catholic ethos and fostered with a sense of belonging. Mount Sackville Secondary School a truly exceptional place for young women to learn, grow, and flourish.

Later that morning parents and their daughters followed the Prefect Guides on the school tours and explored our facilities including: Art Room, Computer Room, Drama Theatre, Extra Curricular sports, Home Economics Room, Modern European Languages, Music Room, Oratory and Science Lab. There was fun, there was awe, there were freshly baked cookies and beautiful music.

Finally, everyone returned to the Gym Hall to meet Subject Department teachers for a quick chat and grab a coffee and a treat from our wonderful and welcoming Parents Association. Some asked great questions, some answered how to cut a cake into 8 even parts and some scored in basketball.

We hope everyone left inspired and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Our Admissions for the school year 2024/2025 will open on 3rd October and more information on the process is available on the website.
