PA host Jigsaw's Parents' Workshop

Mount Sackville’s Parents Association were delighted to welcome Paolo Trenta from Jigsaw to the school on Tuesday evening last for the long anticipated workshop for our parents. Mr Trenta shared valuable insights from recent research carried out by Jigsaw in conjunction with UCD on the mental health of young people in Ireland.

The workshop, entitled 'Supporting Young People's Mental Health' was designed to help parents
• develop their understanding of the key issues impacting the mental health and well-being of young people
• identify ways of promoting positive mental health in young people
• recognise some of the signs that a young person may be struggling with their mental health
• understand the value of listening as a way of supporting young people
• Increase parents awareness of the supports available from Jigsaw in their area.

The workshop was extremely well received by attending parents.
