The Mount Sackville Parents Association are delighted to announce that a donation of €6,790 will go to St John’s Ward Crumlin Children’s Hospital. This donation comes from parents/guardians who contributed their ticket purchase to go to this charitable cause, rather than a refund.

Since 2016 the Annual Charity Lunch, organised by the Mount Sackville Parent Association, has raised in excess of €26,000 for charities including Huntington' Association of Ireland; Cluny School-Haiti; Jigsaw; and Focus Ireland. The Parents Association would like to thank all those who have contributed to these worthy charities.

In January the student council selected St John’s Ward in Crumlin Children’s Hospital as their chosen charity for 2020. The Children’s Medical Research Foundation, (CMRF), exists to help save young lives, improve quality of life and enhance patient experience, as more than 150,000 children from all over Ireland attend Crumlin Hospital every year.

In March 2020 many parents/guardians were looking forward to celebrating the Charity Lunch in Carton House, but like many events this year it was postponed, and eventually cancelled last month, with ticket refunds available on request.

In preparation for the charity lunch the Parent Association lunch committee sold 180 tickets and secured many vouchers, gifts and hampers from local businesses and sponsors for the anticipated raffle. Fortunately the raffle prizes will now be used by CMRF as part of their online charity raffle events, and we thank Sinead Nolan (Schools & Youth Development CRMC) for her assistance in this endeavor.

The Parent Association thank the following parents/guardians who helped organise the lunch and the raffle prizes - Carol Dunne, Sheila Brannan, Fiona Hickey, Caroline Murtagh, Stephanie Fay, and Jacki Parker. We also thank the ongoing support and continued generosity of local businesses and our sponsors.
