Parents Association

Parents Association Constitution

Welcome to the Mount Sackville Parents’ Association.

We have a vibrant Parents Association offering all parents/guardians a forum to have their voice heard, to hear first-hand from the school representatives about recent changes, current events and proposed developments throughout the school.

The Parents Association consists of two representatives from each class forming a Parents’ Year Group for each year and the Year Group’s in turn each elect two members to form the Parents’ Council. Regular meetings are held of the Parents’ Year Groups and most topics are dealt with by the Dean of the year, other issues contribute to the agenda of meetings of the Parents Council where they are explored in conjunction with the Principal and / or Deputy Principal.

In addition to our formal meetings, members of the Parents Association actively participate in events throughout the year including:

  • Sports Day
  • Other sports events including tennis and badminton mother and daughter evenings
  • Carols in the cathedral
  • Music recitals
  • Debs Ball
  • Social events

In addition to the Year Groups and the Parent’s Council, we have an engaging Social Committee who organise the many events through the year.

We have our own dedicated space on the school website which showcases all our activities.

While the Parents’ Association functions in a formal way, we always welcome the continued input of all parents at any time so that together we can continue to contribute to Mount Sackville being the school of our choice for our daughters and also to be the school of choice for all girls in our area.

We see the Parents Association as providing a key informative and support function to promote and embrace the school’s founding story, tradition and ethos.
