COVID-19 Supporting Parents, Adolescents and Children during Epidemics (Co-SPACE) Study
25-May-20
Co-SPACE Study Survey

A team of researchers at the University of Limerick are currently conducting a study exploring how students and their families are coping during COVID-19. The purpose of the study is to learn about the needs of young people and to identify what advice and supports may be needed to protect their mental health during periods of rapidly evolving pressures such as this.

The research team are looking for parents to complete their anonymous survey. If you would like to support their research and participate, please click on the link to the survey here https://tinyurl.com/UL-COSPACE

The study is entitled Co-SPACE (COVID-19 Supporting Parents, Adolescents and Children during Epidemics) and is linked to a UK study led by the University of Oxford. Additional information on the study can be found here.

The survey will take approximately 25 minutes. You may be asked to participate in monthly follow up surveys, all of which are voluntary. The study is anonymous and has full ethical approval from the University of Limerick.

The team have shared a snapshot of their Co-SPACE study findings to date. These can be viewed by clicking the link https://www.i-teach.ie/first-update.

The team included additional links providing information on how to support your child during this crisis: https://emergingminds.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/COVID19_advice-for-parents-and-carers_20.3_.pdfhttps://www.gov.ie/en/publication/73ed20-covid-19-coronavirus-information-for-parents/
