Phoenix Park Gate Closures & Public Meeting

Knockmaroon Gate closure

It has come to our attention that the OPW latest plan envisages just one gate open to traffic in our school area i.e. the Castleknock gate.

Knockmaroon (to close) and Ashtown to be entry only.

Due to the pandemic, the public consultation is being run entirely on-line: http://phoenixpark.virtualeventspace.io/ It runs until March 12th.
Senator Emer Currie is organising an on-line public meeting to brief you on the key issues. It will be held on Monday 15th at 7pm. You can register by e-mailing her at emer.currie@oir.ie .

It is important that as many people as possible attend the meeting as the plans could have a detrimental effect for access to Mount Sackville. If the wrong decisions are made, it could result in a worsening of the traffic situation in Castleknock and the Navan Road. It is very important that we as parents / guardians voice our concerns about this possibility.

Also - *Piloting* - making the *North Road*, *Knockmaroon Road* and Upper Glen Road into cul-de-sacs for 9 months later this year.
